Snow in Sunny? Southern California

Sunday, Katie sang: "The sun is shining, the grass is green. The orange and palm trees sway. There's never such a day in Rialto or L.A. But it's December, the 24th, and I'm longing to go up North." Mark traveled north on December 17th and got stuck because it is snowing...LOTS...in the high desert area of Southern California! Thanks a lot, Katie, for singing the snow to our area. LOL

Here is Mark enjoying the snow at 9:30ish this morning. He already knew he most likely wouldn't be coming home to us today. Before lunchtime, we knew, unless there was a freaky heatwave to melt all that snow, Mark was stuck.

This is right outside the warehouse where Mark works.

Tonight, Mark says the snow is much deeper and it was still snowing at 5 pm. Soooo....who knows when he will get to come home. If the snow keeps going all night, then it may be another day before enough melts to make it safe to travel down the Cajon Pass to get back home.

I just read that another brother from ILC is stuck up the hill tonight as well. So, anyone who lives up there and travels to Rialto for church or anyone who works up the hill and didn't get home before the closure will be missing service tonight! :(

Please pray for everyone who is traveling in this wonderful weather and for those who need to go home, whether down or up the hill, tomorrow.

For those of you who are where there is snow, enjoy it and build a snowman for the McVays of Rialto, okay? God bless and keep you during this Christmas season!
